The Whalers Cove Oceanfront Condominiums along Puuholo Road in Koloa in the island of Kauai in Hawaii are situated on a bluff one mile from Poipu Beach. You may want to use Whalers Cove as a base for exploring the beauty of Kauai at the Spouting Horn Beach Park, Poipu Beach Park, the Old Koloa Town, Wailua Falls, and Hanalei. The Waimea Canyon State Park is only 24 miles away.
Property features
One of the distinctive characteristics of this resort is an orchid garden that surrounds it. An infinity-edge swimming pool and doors made of koa wood make this property unique from other resorts of its kind. All of the suites provide you with views of the Pacific Ocean and this is also true with the swimming pool and the nearby spa tub.
The eastern part of the resort has a stairway going to a cove that has been found to be teeming with marine life and to be safe for snorkeling. For the convenience of guests, a barbecue grill with a picnic area is also located right in front of the ocean. Other features of this property include complimentary beach towels and newspapers, free parking, concierge services, free local telephone calls, elevator, safe-deposit box, and Internet access in public areas for a surcharge.

This condominium resort does not have its own restaurant but it can make reservations for you in nearby dining places. One such place is the Brennecke's Beach Broiler restaurant in Poipu, which is located next to the beach where you can enjoy salads, sandwiches, steak, pasta, and seafood. Another dining place is Keoki's Paradise restaurant, which is also in Poipu.
Another place where you can go to eat is the Beach House Restaurant, which is also found along the south shore of Kauai and has garnered several awards. You may enjoy pasta, grilled fresh fish, sea scallops, grilled mushroom, salads, and mussels. Another notable restaurant that you might want to try is the Plantation Gardens Restaurant and Bar, which features plantation-style dining with Pacific Rim cuisine.
You may also like to try eating at the Puka Dog restaurant for unique Hawaiian style hotdog sandwiches. Meanwhile, at the Poipu Beach Broiler you may try roasted beef ribs, grilled fish, and pork ribs.
