Aston at Poipu Kai Formerly Resort Quest
Aston at Poipu Kai, which was formerly known as ResortQuest, is a plantation-style 315-room condominium resort that occupies 70 acres in South Kauai, Hawaii. It is strategically placed because you can easily walk along a half-mile path to the world-class Shipwreck Beach and Poipu Beach. Shipwreck Beach is ideal for surfing or simply beach walking. A man-made reef had been constructed to protect the lower loop of the S-shaped Poipu Beach so that the water is calm. Meanwhile, you can snorkel among the lava rocks that are located around a sand inlet. This part of Poipu Beach can also be used for boogie boarding or surfing. The property also has the benefit of being only 10.5 miles away from the Lihue Airport.
Condominium resort amenities
One of the key features of Aston at Poipu Kai are the six swimming pools that are found throughout the resort, including two hot tubs. Each pool has a barbecue grill that you may use. Other convenient features include the following: tour assistance; provision of picnic areas; concierge services; Internet access in the lobby and in other public areas; various business services; babysitting services; free parking; free reading of newspapers in the lobby; rental of videotapes; putting green; tennis courts; jet spas; and a scenic trail that is ideal for walking or jogging; and a safe-deposit box that is available at the front desk.
Room amenities and characteristics
All rooms are non-smoking and are provided with patios and lanais that offer views of the hotel's tropical grounds. While there are differences in room decoration, most of them have Hawaiian print fabrics and rattan furniture. Ceiling fans are provided instead of air-conditioners to maintain the tropical ambiance but there are many windows for adequate ventilation.
The rooms are provided with fully equipped kitchens and have satellite or cable television. Other room features include housekeeping services, hair dryer, coffee maker, microwave oven, clock radio, CD player, free local telephone calls, cribs when needed, VCR, voice mail, refrigerator, in-room safe, and ironing board.
