Guests may choose to stay in Volcano House Hotel’s most popular rooms, called the crater view rooms in the Deluxe Wing and Main Building. Other rooms, though, offer the comforts of specially designed Hawaiian-quilted comforters minus the crater view. For dining, guests may enjoy the assorted continental American and Pacific cuisine while gazing at the breathtaking view of the volcano. Signature cocktails are also served in Uncle George's Lounge, while lighter fare and snacks are available in the Snack Bar.

The hotel provides a small heater in each room, a private bathroom, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box, a twenty-four hour front desk service, facsimile services, nearby medical service, daily maid service, complimentary parking newspaper machine, mail drop, and a nearby gasoline station. Nani Mau

Nani Mau is a 20-acre land of various native and exotic flowers, orchid gardens, palms and tropical fruit orchards located about 4 miles from Hilo town and 25 miles northeast of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Guests may shop for gifts and souvenirs at the Nani Mau Gift Shop, after getting that thrilling experience of dining at a garden restaurant with a delicious island buffet lunch.

Hawaii Volcano Waterfalls Tour

The tour starts in Hilo at the beautiful Japanese Gardens where guests will enjoy a dazzling sight of Mauna Kea, one of the world's tallest mountains, then heading to the Volcanoes National Park. Hotel rates

Rates run at a discount of as low as $59 per night for guests staying in consecutive nights in some rooms. Volcano House Hotel also offers five nights stay at different rooms inclusive of 11.42% room tax. There’s the Ohia Wing room offering the lowest rate of $715.00 for five nights for its guests; the non-crater view room for $1,015.00; the crater view room for $1,210.00; and the deluxe crater view room for $1,345.00 for five nights.

There is also the Volcano Hale offering $62 per night; Lokahi Lodge $89 per night of stay. During some seasons, rates can go for about $138 and $145 per night. A one-night deposit is required when reservations are made and 3-days cancellation notice is required for refunds, while multiple reservations are subject to a longer cancellation notice. And since Volcano House is located within the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a park entrance fee of $10.00 will apply upon reservation, which is good for 7 days.
